Mamavation Monday: Week Six

So this is week four of the 'Move it and Lose it' Mamavation Challenge; next week I will be adding new measurements. So this week I lost nothing. Not to surprising I did not eat well or exercise; I am actually thrilled I did not gain anything. I promise to get motivated and really work out and get back to doing things the way I should be. See this is the trend in my life right now.... make an excuse once and it becomes a daily occurrence! I am going to start working out on the Wii Fit daily again as well as the EA Active (I think I am on day 15 and should almost be done).

I think I am going to go back to my original inspiration. Since The 'Move It and Lose It' challenge is offering $500 and a pair of Earthwear Footwear to the one mom who loses the most body weight percentage I am going back to asking myself.... 'Is this worth $500 and awesome shoes?'. If it is not then it will not go in my body! How is that for inspiration? Next week I will kick booty!

Here are my measurements as of 4/12:
Bust: 51.5
Waist: 51.0
Hips: 48.75
Thighs: R- 24.0 L- 24.5
Arms: R- 14.25 L- 14.5

Current Stats:

  • Weight: 213 (-9 total -0 this week)
  • Height:  5'8
  • BMI:    32.6 (- 1.2)

  1. You maintained!!! That's not a negative thing.

I like your new motivator -- I have to remind myself of that nearly every day. Not with food, because I stopped buying snacks, refined breads, etc. . . nothing "bad" is in the house anymore. No, I have to motivate myself about exercise . . .or choosing to sit on the computer/watch TV.

I know I'd see better results if I was REALLY pushing myself. I didn't push anything this past week -- just kind of went through the motions.

But, it's a new week for both of us. We can do this!

  2. I'll put my foot to the screen and kick some booty if you need it lol. Thats a great way to keep yourself in check with the $500 and Earth Footwear. I've learned the hard way that even though exercise is a choice we have to treat it as a no other choice but to exercise kind of thing. ((hugs)) Hope you have a good week.

  3. If the shoes and $$$ are what you need to get your booty off the couch right now then use that motivation. There is no shame in that game, this is why this challenge was created. Now get going.

And Paige is right, congrats on at least maintaining.

  4. Rewards give us something to look forward too. They make us work harder to attain the object of our want.

Print out a picture of the shoes and put them all over your house. Then, write $500 under it. Keep it in your face constantly. You can do it!

  5. I'm so proud of you, you're doing great. I've hit a rough patch as well - basically not moving at all! But recommitting this week and chaging a few things up. I think tnight's mamavation tv on plateaus will be great for us! xoxox

  6. I know what that is like. You have excuses day and then it turns into more. You just have to make sure it's excuse meal...as in singular...not plural...not a day. A day is 3 meals or more. One meal isn't going to hurt you, but a day can keep you back.

But I will say that maintaining and not gaining is a positive. You are doing well. Keep up the heart you have and keep it going. XXOO

  10. I agree! Don't look at maintaining as a bad thing!

You can do it dear! I know $500 and some sweet shoes would be worth it for me!

  12. I had a bad week and gained...and kept telling myself why the heck are you throwing your chances at the challenge right down the drain. I think that using whatever you can as motivation is helping ....so keep moving...I am not sure where everyone is at for the challenge...but we all have a shot at winning so we might as well get moving and if we dont win the prize we will at least win some less pounds!
