St. Nick Cupcakes Recipe

• 24 Servings
• Prep: 2 hours

Ingredients

• 1 to 2 cans vanilla frosting (16 ounces each)
• Cupcakes and miniature cupcakes of your choice
• Red sprinkles
• Ivory paste food coloring
• Candy-coated sunflower kernels
• Red shoestring licorice
• Starburst candies
• Miniature marshmallows
• Corn syrup
• White nonpareils

Directions

• Frost a cupcake; dip the top in red sprinkles. Tint a small amount of frosting ivory. Using ivory frosting, frost a miniature cupcake for the face. Lay cupcake on its side on top of sprinkled cupcake; secure each with a toothpick. Pipe frosting onto face for hair and beard. Attach sunflower kernels for eyes and nose and a licorice piece for the mouth.
• For hat, place four red Starburst candies on a small piece of waxed paper; microwave on high for 3-5 seconds or until softened. Place candies side by side, using a rolling pin, roll candies together to 1/8-in. thickness. Cut into a triangle; form into a cone shape. Press seam to seal; gently form around a small ball of plastic wrap into a hat shape.
• For pom-poms, cut marshmallows in half; roll each half in corn syrup then in nonpareils. Press onto the tip of hat and around brim. Remove plastic wrap from inside hat; attach to head with frosting. Repeat. Yield: varies.

Aveno Baby on bzzagent

I have been trying the Aveeno Baby products I received through Bzzagent. They sent me a full sized bottle of the Aveeno baby Essential Moisture Shampoo. I must say I enjoy this product on my 4 month old. The scent is not over powering. It lathers well yet not so much that it makes it difficult to rinse out. I don't feel it cakes on his scalp at all like some shampoo's. I also was sent some samples of the Aveeno Baby diaper cream. I will say this is one of my favorite products of this type now. It goes on easily and works wonders. There is no scent, which is what I prefer in the diaper area.

KMart Double Coupon Promotion

Did you hear? Some KMart stores are doubling $2 coupons every day through December 19, 2009 with a limit of 5 coupons per day.
I'd heard rumors of this, but Heather over at Spectacular Savings confirmed those rumors for me today with her post on her deals here.
Definitely call your KMart store to see if they are participating as well. And then us know what you find out. I'm curious if this is a very limited promotion or spread across the nation.
Since there's a limit of 5 coupons doubled per day, this isn't the most stellar promotion ever. That said, if you live near a KMart, it definitely could be a great deal for you. Just do a small 5-coupon trip everyday and you could stock up with all sorts of freebies--some which might even be perfect for Christmas gift baskets!

I will say I will be calling my Kmart tomorrow! I'll update you all when I find out about mine.
